Treasures of the Lost Stones Slot Machine: Review & Demo

Treasures of the Lost Stones Slot Demo

Microgaming gets a new slot for their collection, and it’s called Treasures of the Lost Stones. It’s designed by Aurum Signature Studios, and it is a game that is all about treasure, in the form of precious gems. Not the most original theme perhaps, but there are some adequate special features to keep the game interesting, and in terms of potential it’s not doing bad at all.

Treasures of the Lost Stones will be available in a format with 5x3 reels, on which you will discover 243 ways to win. It’s enough to get a jackpot of 20,000x the stake from it, particularly once you take into account the free spins with up to 5x multipliers, or the wilds and stacked symbols that are also found inside. RTP is low though, only 93.06%, and when combined with its high volatility, this sounds like a potentially deadly slot.

Treasures of the Lost Stones Betting and Prizes

20 coins are required, to activate the game’s 5 reels and all their ways to win. With coins of $0.01 to $0.60 used, the total amount wagered is between $0.20 and $12.

Like most slots with high volatility that we’re seeing right now, Treasures of the Lost Stones can pay an impressive top jackpot. 20,000x the stake is the return that they’ve capped the jackpot at, but it should be more than enough to motivate most players. What is less motivating, is the high volatility, along with the RTP that’s at 93.06%.

Slot Features

We’re seeing a couple of fairly common features in Treasures of the Lost Stones, but they can still be powerful, thanks to the way in which they were implemented.

For one, there are stacked wilds on those reels, and they tend to show up much more often than I would’ve expected. They’re used as part of new winning combinations, where they substitute for whatever symbol is needed to get you paid. On the other hand, they can’t take the place of a scatter.

Speaking of scatters, those are the symbols you need landing as many times as possible, even if it’s in random locations. You need 3 or more, to trigger the free spins feature, but 2 or more will be enough to get you a prize. Next, there will be a screen where you pick the version of the free spins that you like:

  • 8 free games, with the multiplier set to 5x and with Ruby symbol stacked (3 symbols per stack);
  • 10 free games, with the multiplier at 4x, while the Sapphire symbol is stacked 4 high;
  • 14 free games, with 3x multiplier for all wins, and with Emeralds stacked 5 symbols high;
  • 18 free games, where the multiplier is at 2x, while Amethyst stones are stacked 6 symbols high.

Theme & Design

As far as the theme is concerned, there isn’t much of one here. It looks like an adventurer’s trek through the jungle, in search for treasure. It’s in the form of precious stones, showing rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and amethyst stones, these four being your premium symbols. The lower ones are basic Royals though, while the feature triggers get logos next to prisms and orbs. Its reels look like paper scrolls.

Conclusion

Treasures of the Lost Stones doesn’t look bad, has a selection of special features that look promising, and those multipliers can be a lot of fun, once you reach the free spins. Unfortunately, when coupled with a very low RTP of 93.08%, all those pros are not going to be enough, to make this slot worth checking out.
