Thunderstruck Stormchaser Slot Machine: Review & Demo

Games Global is expected to release Thunderstruck Stormchaser in the next couple of months, as the fourth title in a series that was hugely popular in the past. Stormcraft Studios created this particular game, and once again we’re getting a look at Viking gods and their fight for power. Thor and Thyra are the main protagonists in this case.

Thunderstruck Stormchaser uses 1,024 ways to win, which means that there are 5 reels in use, with 4 symbols for each one. Higher in volatility than many others, this slot is capable of paying as much as 10,200x the round’s stake. Its RTP can reach 96.10%, at its highest. There are several powerful features as well, ranging from wild reels to big multipliers, random modifiers, and even free spins.

Thunderstruck Stormchaser Betting and Prizes

Though you have the option to place a wager of up to $25, the minimum amount required is only $0.20.

Thanks to all those ways to win, along with big multipliers available during regular or free spins, Thunderstruck Stormchaser could pay a top jackpot of 10,200x the stake. It’s not the biggest prize we’ve seen for a high volatility slot, but it will do.

There are a couple of RTP settings that could be used, and the one you should look for is 96.10%.

Slot Features

3 to 5 matching symbols, appearing left to right on adjacent reels, are guaranteed to form winning combinations. They will pay you, then they will be removed through Rolling Reels, and replaced with others. The Rolls keep going if new combinations get formed.

Randomly, you may benefit from a feature called Wildstorm, which adds up to 5 wild reels to the game area.

There are also Multiplier symbols that can land on the reels, and they are used to boost all wins that round, by as much as 20x for each one. They are added up if 2+ appear during the same round.

Another important feature will consist of free spins, to which you can get via 3-5 scatters. A Wheel spins first and depending on the number of triggering symbols, you could get anywhere from 7 to 25 free spins while starting multipliers could reach 12x. You can collect symbols to trigger a Wildstorm, you can boost multipliers further, and you can also retrigger this feature.

Theme & Design

We’re being taken to Asgard, as part of a story that involves Thor and Thyra. There are storm and lightning bolts visible behind the reels, while in the game some of the symbols are runestones that have Royals painted on them. The rest are symbols with Thor, Thyra, Yggdrasil, Asgard, and a golden throne.

Conclusion

Thunderstruck Stormchaser delivers plenty of modern features and has pretty good top prizes, but there is room for improvement as well. We’re used to high-volatility slots doing even better than this one does when it comes to the top jackpot.
