Stumpy McDoodles 2 Slot Machine: Review & Demo
For the sequel to this particular slot machine, Foxium has collaborated with Microgaming (now Games Global’s content), and they’ve just released Stumpy McDoodles 2. They kept the Irish-themed design, they gave the number of paylines a boost, and they also improved its potential tremendously.
The Stumpy McDoodles 2 slot has a lot of space on its 5x5 reels, but this allows it to offer a decent number of lines, 40 of them total. It’s a casino game that pays very well, up to 11,600x the round’s wager, but this comes with a cost (high volatility). Its RTP is part of a range, but it reaches 96.22%. A few features that I’d mention, include the Stumpy Random Wilds, Stumpy treasures, scatters, and free spins.
Stumpy McDoodles 2 Betting and Prizes
You get 40 lines, but there are only 20 coins required for the wager. The result is a betting range between $0.20 and $20.
Stumpy McDoodles 2 will pay a decent amount, certainly enough for a high-volatility slot machine. 11,600x the stake is the limit, and with the max bet, this could mean a prize worth $232,000.
As usual, find a version of this slot that has a good RTP, at 96.20%. Lower RTP versions are also included, and those I’d recommend you avoid.
Slot Features
A simple Wild logo is shown in the symbol that is going to be used both to create high-paying combinations (10x the stake per combo of 5 wilds) and as substitutes. They’re also replacements for regular symbols, but not for the scatters.
Stumpy Random Wilds are going to be added to the reels at random. Up to 12 wild symbols are placed in the game area when this feature triggers.
Stumpy Treasure is a treasure chest, and it lands only on reel 5 during paid spins. Its appearance brings with it a prize of up to 100x the stake.
The Pot of Gold looks like a cauldron filled with gold coins. It’s the scatter, which may show up on reels 2-4. When you get just 2 scatters, you collect a Cauldron, allowing you to give the number of rounds a boost for the upcoming free spins feature. You need 1 to 16 Cauldrons, to get 8 to 25 free spins.
If you land all 3 scatters, you trigger the free spins directly. If no Cauldrons were collected, you get only 6 free spins. Additional features included in the free spins are:
- Growing Wilds, which get a boost in size whenever Wild Coins land on the reels. You also get 2 additional free spins when this happens.
- Super Wilds, are obtained when wilds grow big enough to take over entire reels. This award wins for 5-symbol combinations of wilds.
Theme & Design
Stumpy McDoodles 2 features the same Irish-themed graphics as the previous release, and we’re getting the same main characters as well. The graphics are interesting, modern, and well-made. Among its symbols, expect to find icons with four top Royals, starting with the J and reaching the A. You then get premium symbols with Harp, Shamrock, Penny McDoodles, and Stumpy McDoodles.
Conclusion
Stumpy McDoodles 2 is an excellent sequel, a slot machine that is fun to play, but it also gives you enough motivation to give it a try thanks to its increased rewards.
