Playboy Wilds Slot Machine: Review & Demo

Playboy Wilds Slot Demo

Games Global continues to add new slots to the Playboy series, just as Microgaming did before it. Playboy Wilds is only the most recent slot machine that the Quickfire platform is getting, but they changed some things in it, and went from regular paylines to a cluster pays engine (Cluster Chase, to be more specific).

Playboy Wilds has a Cluster Chase engine, where it spins 6x6 reels for the player and forms its clusters on them. You can get a win of up to 5,044x the stake in this game. As for the main features that are available, they include the cascading reels, randomly-added regular or stacked wilds, and free spins with a progressive multiplier (up to 10x).

Playboy Wilds Betting and Prizes

You can spend a very small amount of $0.10 and you would still be able to play Playboy Wilds. At the upper end, its wagers could require up to $20.

The jackpot is worth 5,044x the stake at its highest, so it’s by no means impressive. It’s worth up to $100,880 cash, and that’s if you’re using the max bet when you trigger it.

Slot Features

You’re playing with a total of 36 symbols from its 6x6 reels. Winning requires that 5 to 15+ matching symbols are adjacent, touching on the same row or column (not diagonally). Once a cluster forms, the symbols get removed through the cascading reels mechanic, allowing others to drop down.

There are a couple of random modifiers that could trigger at any point:

  • Wild Night: adds a stacked wild symbol, occupying 3 positions on its reel. Up to three such symbols can appear. It’s available during paid spins.
  • Wild Chance: gives you up to 5 regular wilds in random positions (both for paid and free spins).

I should also note that as you go through cascading reels, there is a Wild Meter where all winning symbols are kept. Get to certain numbers, and you receive 3 wilds on the reels each time (at 15, 30, and 45 collected symbols). Get to 60 symbols and there are 10 free spins triggered.

If you get the free spins, you will find that each spin has a progressive multiplier that goes up following each cluster formation. Up to 10x multipliers could improve the wins of each spin.

Theme & Design

It’s not much of a design, even though the theme is a popular one. The Playboy bunny is only visible in the logo area, so on the reels, it’s a mix of Royals and icons showing the things a girl would wear (bow tie, shoes, flower broach, bunny ears).

Conclusion

They could’ve done a much better job with the design and the choice of symbols, but I’m satisfied with the potential of its features. It’s a fun slot overall.
