Piles of Presents Slot Machine: Review & Demo
Piles of Presents is a holiday-themed slot machine, being developed by Just For The Win, and which will be published by Games Global. It’s coming with traditional Christmas graphics, and with the jolly Santa image that most of us grew up with. The design is lovely, but there is more to the game than just pretty symbols.
In Piles of Presents, the player discovers a setup with 5x3 reels, occupied by 20 potential lines. There are 5,000x jackpots to win, but the high volatility might deter some players. The RTP can be as high as 96.17%, but it could also be lower. The major features to look out for, would be the wild symbol, Santa scatters, free spins with multipliers, and the Christmas Wheel with its fixed jackpots.
Betting and Prizes
Starting from just $0.20, the bets of the slot go only up from that point. The max bet is $50.
Piles of Presents has a decent top jackpot, and it can be delivered through the Christmas Wheel. A lucky spin could pay a Mega Jackpot, worth 5,000x for the bet you used. There are also regular combinations paying up to 400x when combined, but certain multipliers could boost them further during free spins.
The cost of doing business is the high volatility here. The RTP goes up to 96.17%, but you need to make sure that the operator didn’t select a lower value.
Piles of Presents Slot Features
Help may come in the form of the usual wilds, symbols acting as substitutes typically. Sometimes, they may form combinations directly, with up to five wilds aligned on a line.
Randomly, you may get access to a Christmas Wheel, a spin triggering, and potentially delivering a fixed jackpot. To get there, you first need a mistletoe overlay symbol to appear somewhere, but that’s still not a guarantee that you will gain access.
As for the main feature, you get 6 free spins whenever 3 to 5 Santa scatters are present. Depending on the number of scatters, you also get 3 to 5 picks that you make, in order to claim additional modifiers. It could be a higher multiplier, more free spins, symbol upgrades, or transformations. More features can be obtained along the way, by landing extra scatters.
Theme & Design
It’s going to be the traditional Christmas design in this slot, the one with the fat Santa and his red nose, but also with a Christmas tree in the background, and plenty of gifts all around. The symbols may use Royals in some cases, but there are also toy soldiers, teddy bears, drums, and toy trains.
Conclusion
Piles of Presents is the right new slot for the job, meaning that it’s designed to be appealing for Christmas, even though its features look good enough to be enjoyed all year long.
