Numero Uno Slot Machine: Review & Demo
Becoming a champion is the ultimate goal in Numero Uno, a Mexican wrestling-themed slot machine that we’re going to see at Games Global casinos (the platform was acquired from Microgaming) in the near future. It’s got dogs and chickens as main characters, so don’t expect a regular design.
They’re giving us 5 reels to play on, and there are 243 ways to win as well. The best that this slot will do is 2,113x the stake, and the RTP of 95.22% is not looking great either. Via stacked wilds, random features, rolling reels, as well as powerful free spins, the list of major features is actually a decent one.
Betting and Prizes
Start things off with a bet of $0.20, and you can see what the slot is like. Once you’re comfortable with it, you can spend as much as $120 per round.
The promise in Numero Uno is that if you become its champion, and claim the top jackpot, you could win 2,113x the stake at most. It’s not the best payout around, and the reason may very well be the RTP of 95.22%, at least partially. Add a high volatility rating as well, and this side of the slot is not very inviting.
Numero Uno Slot Features
An important feature, which you can take advantage of in the long run, is the stacked wild symbol. It doesn’t pay directly, since the symbol lands only on reels 2, 3, and 4. It is also a substitute only for the slot’s scatters.
Another way to get wilds on the reels is through Wild Showdown, a random feature. It adds a wild reel to one of the middle columns, thus giving you guaranteed prizes that round.
Rolling Reels are used to giving you a second chance at forming combinations. If you create a combo on your own, then the game replaces those symbols with new ones, and this can bring additional wins. The Rolls keep going for as long as wins keep forming.
As for the main feature, it triggers via 3+ scatters with the Ring Bell, and it consists of up to 25 free spins. Within each round, as you go through Rolling Reels, the multiplier increases to 2x, then to 3x, 4x, 5x, and 10x. It goes back to the base multiplier of 1x once the spin is over.
Theme & Design
It’s a cartoon-style design, with dogs and chickens as its premium symbols. The dogs are dressed as wrestlers, while the chicken is the referee. The lesser symbols are the ones sporting the Royals. The Wild logo and the Ring Bell scatter are also there.
Conclusion
I’m not a big fan of this combination of high volatility, reduced RTP, and low-top jackpots. I enjoyed the graphics and the features though.
