Joyful Joker Megaways Slot Machine: Review & Demo

Joyful Joker Megaways Slot Demo

All41 Studios and Microgaming have worked together once again, on a slot machine called Joyful Joker Megaways. The Megaways engine has been a part of Microgaming’s collection for only a few months, but there have been several titles released for it. In this particular case, we’re seeing a classic title, which relies on mostly common features for the genre, though it adds some elements of its own as well.

You get to play with 6 reels, where one can find a maximum of 117,649 Megaways in a single spin. Joyful Joker Megaways has high potential, 23,000x the stake, but the volatility is pretty good, medium to high. At the same time, we know that the RTP is expected to be 96%. Its major features will include the Rolling Reels, increasing multipliers, free spins, wilds and the random Joker Spins.

Joyful Joker Megaways Betting and Prizes

There will be 20 coins used in the wagers of each round, and the total value for them will be between $0.20 and $20. Individual coin denominations are between $0.01 and $1.

Joyful Joker Megaways can pay very well, and at 23,000x the stake it can be compared with other games which have higher volatility than it does. Speaking of volatility, it’s been mentioned that it is medium-high where risk is concerned, so it’s still no easy feat to walk away with a profit from this one.

I appreciated the 96% Return to Player, it means that it’s not less fair than other slots. At the same time, you need to keep in mind that there are Megaways slots which have even higher average returns.

Slot Features

They went with the standard setup of a Megaways slot. There are 6 reels, anywhere from 2 to 7 random symbols chosen at random for each column, plus a horizontal reel with four symbols, placed at the top of reels 2-5. A win requires that 3 to 6 matching symbols appear from left to right, on consecutive reels.

A Rolling Reels mechanic is integrated into the game, another very popular option for Megaways slots. Once you form a combination, the game removes the symbols which were part of it, and others are taking the empty positions. If new combinations form then, the Rolls keep going.

One of several features used inside, the wild will be shown as a Diamond. It’s a replacement, and it makes it just a bit easier to form combinations, at least on average.

At random moments, you may get access to a feature which incorporates the wheel which spins on the left side of the screen. It’s called Joker Spins, and it selects a multiplier between 2x and 10x, to be used for the next Roll mechanic. The Rolls keep going and the multiplier increases by 1x from that point, for as long as that happens.

Finally, you can also get 10-14 free spins to trigger, if you land Joker scatters 4 to 6 times in one round. It’s a feature that you can retrigger, with additional Jokers on the top reel. Starting with the multiplier at 2x, this figure will increase by 1x whenever a Rolling Reel triggers.

Theme & Design

Don’t count on much where the graphics are concerned. It’s playable, but it’s also a classic theme which has the Joker in the main role. The design style is not a very modern one either, but it’s going to be OK overall, it’s not a 90s kind of look.

The list of symbols has the Joker as a scatter, Diamonds for wilds, plus Lucky 7s, Bar logos, Bell, Gold Horseshoe, Melon, Grape, Plum, Orange, Lemon and Cherries.

Conclusion

Joyful Joker Megaways has some advantages, mainly when it comes to the way some of its features are built up, but in many other ways it has very similar options to other slots which have the same engine.
