Doki Doki Parfait Slot Machine: Review & Demo
The Anime genre has quite a few excellent slot machines already, but there is always room for one more. Doki Doki Parfait was released by Microgaming (which just sold its games to Games Global) recently, and it’s looking like one of the better options that players have right now. It’s not a casual player’s game, since it has a bit of a kick volatility-wise, but the graphics are gorgeous, and many will appreciate that.
Doki Doki Parfait offers a simpler setup than a lot of modern slots, since only 3x3 reels are spinning for you. There are also only 5 lines, but you can still claim wins of up to 10,000x if you’re lucky, and that’s combined with the high volatility and 96.34% RTP, to give you a clear picture of what’s possible. A couple of bonus games, free spins, respins, various bonus symbols, you will find all these among its special features.
Doki Doki Parfait Betting and Prizes
A bet of just $0.20 will get things going, but those that hope to win more can go as high as $100 if they want to.
As expected from a slot machine whose volatility is likely to be high, the wins of Doki Doki Parfait can be pretty good. Up to 10,000x wins are possible, if we go by the promise made in the paytable section. You do risk more than in the average game, but the RTP looks fine, at 96.34%.
Slot Features
For starters, Doki Doki Parfait has a Respin feature, which relies on special symbols that use their own logo and a candy heart. Should three Respin icons land on the same line, you receive a Respin token, which you collect. The reels will all respin, for an additional chance to get a token, and a third respin. Three of these tokens, if you can get them, could lead you to the free spins or the Card Bonus.
The other way to reach the Card Bonus, is through special green Bonus symbols, which you need to land just once in view. The feature lets you pick cards, in order to either get cash prizes, or to uncover a Seven symbol (for access to free spins picking screen).
There will be a way to get free spins through a regular combo, though it has to get Seven symbols in all positions. You have three versions of the free spins to choose from, giving you 7 spins with 6 more rounds when retriggered, 10 spins with 5 extra spins if retriggered, or 14 spins with only 4 more rounds per retrigger. The retrigger is possible when a new combo of Sevens forms on one of the lines.
The free spins are also the ones that could take you to the Parfait Bonus, and all you need is a single special bonus symbol landing somewhere on the 3 reels. Incidentally, this also gives you 2 extra free spins. As for the Parfait Bonus, it gives you a chance to eat one of the parfait glasses, to win a prize.
Theme & Design
The Anime side of it is clear, you see it as soon as it loads. There is a young girl drawn in Anime style, and she’s sitting to the left of the reels. The location shown behind the reels appears to be an ice cream shop.
However, once you get to the symbols used, you see a variety of classic fruit icons, so that side is not as interesting. Respin symbols, a couple of Bonus icons, a Seven, these are going to trigger features for you. Regular combinations come from Strawberries (top symbols), Pineapples, Watermelons, Plums, Oranges, Grapes, Bananas, and Cherries.
Conclusion
All in all, it’s not a bad slot machine, especially if you take into account that it’s designed for the Eastern market for the most part, and that’s obvious from its design.
