Bushi Sushi Slot Machine: Review & Demo
A sushi-themed slot machine from Gold Coin Studios, Bushi Sushi is going to be launched at Microgaming operators in early 2021. The game has cartoon-style graphics, which are focused mostly on Asian foods, and on sushi in particular.
It was designed as a game which is fairly accessible to casual players, so even though there are only 10 lines present on 5x3 reels, the slot has low to medium volatility and a 96.06% RTP. It doesn’t have as much risk, so the rewards don’t go as high either, reaching a maximum of 800x the stake per spin. Among the big features that it presents you with, there are free spins, expanding symbols, wilds or scatters.
Bushi Sushi Betting and Prizes
Bushi Sushi’s wagers will start from only $0.10 per spin, at which point you are using $0.01 per line. You may also go higher, up to $300 per spin, or $30 per line, if you can afford it.
The payouts are not very high, but the volatility is low-medium as well, so there is a balance achieved there. RTP is OK, at the 96.06% we’ve seen mentioned. As you get at most 40x the stake per line, up to 800x can be paid for a single spin, taking into account all lines, which will pay both ways. It still looks like a jackpot which can reach $240,000, but the return is not as high as in more volatile titles.
Slot Features
Your winning combinations form with 3 to 5 matching symbols, if they appear in adjacent positions on the same line, and starting from either the left or right side (the lines pay both ways).
Look out for a Wild symbol which takes the form of a sushi roll, landing somewhere on the reels 2, 3 and 4. When it lands on one of those reels, these wilds expand and turn all positions of their column into additional wilds. If there are several wild reels next to each other, they unite to form a mega wild.
The only other feature will come through the Yin Yang scatter. Colored in light green and red, it will be useful when it lands 3, 4 or 5 times, as that’s when you get 10, 15 or 20 free spins. A prize of up to 10x the stake is also added.
For the duration of the feature, you get better odds of landing wild symbols.
It feels like a game for casual players, at least going by the fairly common special features which are used. They make sure that nobody gets scared here, and it all feels familiar, but with decent potential for the amount of risk they’re taking.
Theme & Design
Asian cuisine has served as a basis for slot themes many times before, and the choice has been made for Bushi Sushi as well. Look at its reels, and you will discover about five different symbols with various types of sushi rolls, while four will give us images of Royals, and a final one relies on the Yin Yang logo. Well designed overall, but I doubt anyone will truly love the look of it.
Conclusion
Bushi Sushi slot offers players adequate features and graphics, payouts which look OK, and a theme that most will find it easy to get onboard with. An average title in a lot of ways, but easy to play if you’re a beginner.
