Big Boom Riches will give you 20 lines, while spinning 5 reels. There are jackpots of up to 5,000x for you to uncover in Big Boom Riches, and the game’s high volatility will match that payout. Luckily, the RTP is fine at 96.06% (though RTP ranges are a thing at Microgaming these days). The ultimate target is on the free spins, as that’s when you get a progressive win multiplier, that you can apply to wins.

You will have the option to spend as much as $50 on a single spin of Big Boom Riches, but the starting point is considerably lower, at just $0.20. Either way, all lines are going to be active.
For a slot machine like this one, with high volatility, a 5,000x jackpot works, but just barely. I would’ve liked a math model with a bigger jackpot, given the volatility and the risk taken. Still, RTP-wise it can be fine, it’s at 96.06% usually (lower RTP settings can be selected by the casino though).
Slot Features
Rolling Reels are part of the game’s mechanics. This feature, which is very common in slot machines right now, will be useful whenever you form a winning combination. It first removes the symbols that are winners, and then brings a new set in, to occupy the empty positions. If this leads to new wins, then the Rolls keep triggering as well.
Regular wilds are going to be part of the list of symbols, and they are going to be the standard substitutes, which could lead to more wins forming in the long run.
There are also TNT Wilds present, symbols that will be used as substitutes, and will also explode and remove some of the neighboring positions, so that the Rolling Reels can trigger. Should 3 to 12 TNT Wilds land at the same time during paid spins, wins of up to 5,000x the stake can be paid instantly.
There will be a free spins feature as well, giving you 9 rounds when 3 to 5 scatters are on the reels. A reward, between 2x and 100x the stake, is also paid. Additional scatters, landing during free spins, will each bring 1 additional spin.
The appearance of X-Wilds will bring the player a higher multiplier from that point forward. Each new X-Wild boosts it by 1x. These are also exploding wilds, which help trigger Rolling Reels.
Theme & Design
The mining theme is fine, we’ve seen it many times before in slot machines, and it can still be enjoyable when done right. I wouldn’t say that they made enough of an effort with Big Boom Riches though, since all you’re seeing on the reels is a mix of Royals and basic gemstones. With the exception of the background and some of the other graphics, I’m not seeing much on the reels that is specifically designed for this slot.
Conclusion
I think that you will appreciate Big Boom Riches, if nothing else, than for its use of unique features and decent rewards. I doubt you will be as excited about its theme or graphics though.
