Atlantis Rising Slot Machine: Review & Demo
Atlantis Rising is one of the many exclusive slot machines that are hitting Microgaming’s casinos in 2021, and in this particular case, the developer that worked on it is called SpinPlay Games. I think you will like what they did with it, even though they didn’t really bring anything new to the table. It’s the sort of slot that casual players will likely enjoy, so while you will not get rich thanks to it, it will not bankrupt you immediately either.
To play the game, look at the 5x4 reels deployed in Atlantis Rising. This slot will offer you 25 active lines, in what is a fairly large game area. Still, it’s not going to be a volatile release, more of a low-medium risk option, with wins of up to 500x the stake, and a Return to Player at 96.20%. Even the features look interesting enough for someone that’s not too used to online slots yet, delivering Rising Wilds, multipliers, a Wild Blast, along with free spins triggered via Trident scatter symbols.
Atlantis Rising Betting and Prizes
$0.20 is more than enough, it will get the game going, and all lines are going to be active. The same can be said about the maximum bet, of $100, though at that level the rewards coming back to you will be much better.
Atlantis Rising will have up to 500x the stake, to pay for a single spin. It’s going to pay little per individual combo, 5x the stake is the highest, but a 2x wild multiplier may apply to wins, so the potential goes up a bit then.
As the low rewards might’ve told you, the risk is not too high, with the volatility level being only low-medium. RTP is also fine, set to 96.20%.
Slot Features
One of the first special features to mention, the game’s wild is the one showing an image of a Wild logo. It serves as a substitute, yes, that hasn’t changed. You can also get several of these on the same line, in which case they could offer up to 5x the stake, the top prize possible from a combo.
Rising Wilds, which trigger randomly, but quite often, will involve wilds that get added to the top of the regular symbols. These bubble-shaped wilds will then start going up, one position each spin, until they leave the game area at the top. 2X multipliers are applied, if you get the proper versions for the wilds in view.
If a Rising Wild lands on top of a compass, a Wild Blast occurs. The nearby positions are all turned into extra wilds, though only for the current spin. These can be either regular or 2x wilds.
Now, you also get special Trident symbols, landing on all reels, though only once on each one. If 3, 4 or 5 of these Tridents are visible, the feature which comes next will have you picking 10, 15, or 20 bubbles. Each bubble either gives you more bubble picks, or up to 5 free spins. The free spins are collected from all these bubbles, and you get to play through them.
You may even retrigger free spins, provided that a new set of 3+ Tridents lands on the reels.
Theme & Design
It’s looking pretty good, for a slot machine that’s taking us to the bottom of the ocean. It has a focus on Atlantis, so there is more of a focus on that ancient civilization, but you can still see some creatures of the ocean on its symbols. The design looks above average as well, even for this well-populated category, which is not lacking in good-looking slots.
Moving on to the symbols that are being used, some will show the Wild logo, Tridents, others will have images of the King of Atlantis, a Mermaid/Queen, the Compass, a Jellyfish, Turtle, and Seahorse. The final three symbols are of lower value, and they show images of teal, purple, and pink gemstones.
Conclusion
Atlantis Rising will deliver a pretty interesting experience, particularly for a player that’s not looking to take on too much risk. It’s entertaining, its features are somewhat different from the ones you usually see, so it can be an adequate way of spending some time. Just don’t expect to get rich thanks to it.
