Featuring an underwater kingdom whose main characters are four beautiful mermaids, the game delivers superb graphics, big rewards, and enough cool features to make it worth playing over longer periods of time.
You’re playing on the usual 5x3 reels that most slots tend to use, with 243 ways to win/potential combinations. It’s a game with big potential, of up to 7,200x the stake, though this also means that there will be higher volatility to go with its 96.19% RTP. Several excellent features were added, and I’d mention here the stacked symbols, multiplier wilds, and scatters with free spins that get their own multipliers.

Starting from a minimum wager of $0.20 per round, the game lets you go as high as $30. Either way, you’re going to get all its ways to win active.
If you go with the right free spins version, you can claim prizes of up to 7,200x the stake, but that’s the most volatile option you can get in that mode. Regular combinations will pay up to 6x the stake, while wilds pay 40x per full combo.
I should also mention the slot’s high volatility, which tells us that it will be punishing for most players, even though its long-term RTP is at a healthy 96.19%.
Slot Features
First, we have the mermaids, top-paying symbols that will have both regular and stacked versions.

Theme & Design
It’s been done before, but the beautiful mermaids continue to be a great source of inspiration for slot machines, and players appear to like them. The underwater theme is as gorgeous as expected, and I like the attention to detail demonstrated by Half Pixel Studio here.
The reels are populated with Royals, J to A, and made out of marble. We then get the four mermaids (Warrior, Adviser, Beauty, Queen) which have wild versions during certain features, plus the Pearl scatter.
Conclusion
I found Atlantis: The Forgotten Kingdom to be one of the more enjoyable new releases that Microgaming offers as an exclusive, both because of its visuals, and the many features that were implemented inside.
