Arena of Gods: Rise of Medusa Slot Machine: Review & Demo
Rabcat advertises itself as a Games Global studio these days, at least in loading screens, so it’s not a surprise that Arena of Gods: Rise of Medusa is exclusive to the Quickfire platform. Hundreds of Games Global casinos are using it, so there will be an easy-to-find slot machine. Expect Ancient Greece-inspired graphics in this one, at the usual high quality that Rabcat always delivers.
Arena of Gods: Rise of Medusa offers 5x3 reels, and you will discover 20 paylines on them. There is nothing unusual so far, and I’m not surprised by the medium volatility, a 96.10% RTP, or the 5,970x top jackpot (worth up to $238,800). What’s a bit more interesting is the presence of the Duel Spins and their multipliers, along with the regular and expanded wilds that result.
Arena of Gods: Rise of Medusa Betting and Prizes
While you’re going to find it easy enough to get started with a bet of just $0.20, this slot also allows you to wager as much as $40 for one spin.
The rewards look fine, particularly since we’re considering the medium volatility rating. For that kind of risk, a jackpot worth 5,970x the stake sounds like a decent target to have. With the max bet, it could mean a prize of $238,800 at most.
You need to watch out for the RTP and make sure that the slot you’re playing is set to the best value of 96.10%.
Slot Features
The slot has two types of wild symbols, and both of them show us Medusa. The regular wild shows us just her head, while the expanded version gives us a full view of the creature. Regardless of size, these are substitute symbols that can contribute to all winning combinations being formed through their positions.
If the Medusa Wild lands fully expanded on the middle reels (2-4), you will get access to the Duel Spins. This is the main feature, and it revolves around a walking wild that starts moving towards reel 1. It has the initial multiplier set to 2x, and it goes up by 1x after each move.
When the Medusa Wild gets to the 1st reel, she explodes, and then up to 5 regular wilds get added to the last four reels.
There is also the concept of a Second Life, where landing three scattering wilds on a reel will give you a second chance at the Duel Spins.
Theme & Design
It looks as it should, considering the Ancient Greece connection. There is an image of Zeus next to the reels, somewhere at the top of Mount Olympus, among the clouds. The reels are populated with the scarier creatures from their stories, so besides Medusa, we also see the Minotaur, Cerberus, helmets, shields, daggers, and Royals.
Conclusion
As expected from Rabcat, this is a slot machine with proper graphics and at least some interesting features, though the list is kind of short there. I like their choice of the top jackpot, and it’s big enough to be interesting.
