AbraCatDabra Slot Machine: Review & Demo
As far as magic-themed slot machines go, they’re fairly easy to find, so AbraCatDabra isn’t coming up with an entirely original story here. What’s different about it is the main character, a cute cat with magic powers. She’s a sorceress, and there is a mouse that’s a wizard as well, but these are the only things that stand out inside. Otherwise, a standard magic inspired game, with good graphics and features, but read on and you will find out all about it.
AbraCatDabra has a total of 5 reels, and each one comes with 3 symbols on it. It’s going to have 20 active win lines there. With help from its best features, the slot will pay as much as $250,000 (5,000x the stake). I’d expect from it features that range from stacked wilds, to three types of respins that have different modifiers, free spins, and a bonus game that involves making a lot of picks.
AbraCatDabra Betting and Prizes
The wagers used in this new Microgaming slot are standard by now, we’ve seen this kind of range in many cases. $0.20 is the point where you start at, while $50 is the one that you end up with if you want to max out the bet.
Using the bonus features that are available inside, a player could claim a top prize of up to 5,000x the bet. For the max bet users, this could mean $250,000 cash at most.
At the same time, I should mention that this is a highly volatile option, so it’s not the safest slot to play for the average player. That considerable amount of risk doesn’t make the game a bad option though, since the RTP is 96.29%. You just need to be aware of what you’re getting yourself into, but it’s something typical of games that can pay big top jackpots.
Slot Features
The stacked Scroll Wild of the 3rd reel is the main feature trigger that the game has. Its appearance there is not sufficient, not unless it ends up in all three positions of the reel. It’s always a substitute for other symbols, but to trigger the Fortune Wheel you will need it fully visible on reel 3.
When that happens, a spin of the Wheel is offered, and the result will be either 10 free spins, or one of the three types of respins:
- Wild Growth, which will keep the 3rd reel wild while respinning the others. A 2x to 10x multiplier is randomly chosen for the resulting wins.
- Wild Fire, where the game gives you 2-4 extra wilds on the 2nd and 4th reel.
- Wild Storm, which respins with high value symbols on the reels (card suit icons are removed).
If you claim access to the free spins, there are 10 rounds awarded. As you play through them, you will notice stars appearing next to regular symbols. You will automatically collect these stars, and this could lead to the randomly triggered bonus feature.
The picking bonus game will give you a screen with 24 options, and you select from them until you find 3 skulls, losing all lives. You can also get additional lives, win prizes as high as 10x the wager, or find the Gold Key.
With the Gold Key, the game triggers the second level of the feature. There are 12 options to choose now, and underneath there are four types of jackpots. The first jackpot for which you find three matching logos, will decide how much this feature pays you. The prizes range from 20x to 5,000x the stake.
Theme & Design
This is a magic-themed game, nothing unusual there. On the other hand, having cats and mice as magic practitioners is not a common choice, and they do look cute when they show up on the reels. Besides the stacked cat (three symbols) and the mouse (double stacked), you also get rings and orbs as premium symbols. The four lower paying options are with the card suits. Only a stacked Scroll Wild is available as a feature trigger.
Conclusion
AbraCatDabra has a couple of decent options, especially if you manage to get into its features. Other than that stacked wild on the 3rd reel, there is nothing else special about the action during its paid spins though.
