9 Gifts of Christmas Slot Machine: Review & Demo
The Absolootly Mad series appears to be getting a new title, and it’s going to be called 9 Mad Hats. This is not a slot with a progressive jackpot, like its predecessor, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not worth trying out. As before, it’s exclusive to Games Global’s network, and the developer for it is Triple Edge Studios. The Mad Hatter, from Alice in Wonderland, remains the main character.
You can play 9 Mad Hats with 5x3 reels and there will be 20 paylines active. The game area is standard, the volatility is at a medium level, and the rewards go up to 2,000x, so this doesn’t look like the sort of slot machine that will make big waves. As for the features which are incorporated, they include wild symbols, free spins with multipliers, and the Epic Strike jackpot.
Betting and Prizes
Your bets in 9 Mad Hats require a minimum of $0.20 for the next round, and they go only up from that point. A maximum bet of $60 is possible.
It’s not going to make you rich, but you can still get a 2,000x jackpot out of it, enough to make someone’s day. The 96.24% RTP is part of a larger range, so watch out for that. Anyway, with its medium volatility, I’d say that the slot’s rewards are good enough.
9 Mad Hats Slot Features
One of the things of note here is the Epic Strike jackpot ladder. It pays up to 2,000x the stake, depending on how many scatters land on the middle three reels (3 required for the lowest prize, while 9 symbols will pay the big jackpot).
You’re going to find wild symbols on the reels, ready to contribute to whatever winning combination requires its presence. It takes the image of the Mushroom, and it will be one that you will be happy to find on the reels since it is a substitute.
As for the free spins, those you get via 3 special scatters, which can land on reels 2-4. You spin a wheel, and you get one of six possible combinations of free spins and multipliers. They range from 10 spins with a 2x multiplier to 30 spins and a 3x multiplier.
Theme & Design
It’s a play on the character Mad Hatter, from Alice in Wonderland. We’ve seen him in Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah, and he’s making a return in this one. The symbols are mostly simple ones though, with images of the four card suits, and then of three versions of single, double, and triple Sevens.
Conclusion
9 Mad Hats looks fine the way it is, covering a part of the market which is designed with the average player in mind. Adequate rewards, several popular features, and decent graphics are all present in this neat package.
